create beautiful, layered art using the colors, textures, and patterns in the spaces you already love

go on a scavenger hunt with me!

You don’t need new supplies — just a fresh spark of inspiration.

Everyday Explorations: Home Edition is a free guided workshop designed to help you notice the beauty in your everyday surroundings and bring that inspiration into your art. Using a simple scavenger-hunt approach, you’ll gather colors, textures, and patterns from your own space and transform them into layered, expressive work in the studio.

Creative momentum can start right where you are.

beth chien here

I’m a mixed media artist outside Chicago, living with my husband and two rescue goldens. After 25 years in the corporate world—and a major nudge to change—I went all in on my long-time passion for art.

I’m drawn to peeled posters, graffiti, and the raw edge of cities, and I love turning everyday adventures into meaningful art. I hope you’ll join me by enrolling below—you don’t even have to leave your PJs!
