Your world has texture. Let’s turn it into art.

Everyday Places. Unexpected Art.

Inside the Urban Hunt Starter Kit, on its way to your inbox, you’ll take a simple walk, notice colors, textures, signs, and little details with an artist’s eye, then bring them together into a mini mood board.

In Everyday Explorations: Downtown Edition, the companion mini-course to the Starter Kit, we keep creating — turning that kind of everyday inspiration into Tiny Urban Collages, an art journal page, and a mixed-media piece for your wall.

As a thank-you for grabbing the Starter Kit, use code urbanhunt for 15% off today.

Collect Inspiration Out in the Wild

Learn how to notice, collect, and work from bold urban details—like torn posters, worn surfaces, & street textures that most people walk right past.

Create Tiny Urban Collages

Turn your gathered colors, textures, signs, and found details into small collage studies that help you explore ideas before moving into a finished work of art.

Shape Your Final Art Pieces

See how gathered inspiration can move off the wall and into layered mixed-media work through small studies, experimentation, and finished pieces with personality.

When You Need a Fresh Way In

I’ll help you to:

  • Find creative starting points when inspiration feels low

  • Incorporate an urban / graffiti feel into your personal style, if you choose

  • Notice details when you are in your home or out and about - those lines, patterns, and textures. And then how to translate that into art.

  • Turn those photos from trips and travels into usable art ingredients

  • Start with small composition studies with my Tiny Urban Collages

  • Build finished art from the inspiration you gathered yourself

Meet the Artist

hey. hi. hello.

I’m Beth Chien, a mixed-media artist just outside Chicago, where I live with my husband and our two rescue goldens. After 25 years in the corporate world, I got the nudge I needed to finally go all in on art.

I’m especially drawn to the raw edge of cities—peeled posters, graffiti, worn surfaces, bold type, and unexpected color. Everyday Explorations: Downtown Edition is built from that love and designed to help you turn what you notice out in the world into art that feels layered, personal, and real.
