a little more behind the art

I didn’t always know exactly what my creative life would look like.

For years, I made art alongside a corporate career, following whatever kept pulling me back to the studio. Over time, I started paying more attention to the things that genuinely interested me; city walls, old paper, bold type, unexpected color, travel, layers, marks, and all the little visual stories hiding in everyday places.

That curiosity slowly became the thread running through my work.

These days, I paint, teach, travel, gather inspiration wherever I can find it, and bring people together through art; online and around my own studio table.

What I love most is helping someone move from “I like that” to “I wonder what I could make from that.” I’m much more interested in helping you develop your own ideas than showing you how to copy mine.

There’s usually paint on something it shouldn’t be, a ridiculous number of photos on my phone, and at least one unfinished experiment waiting for me in the studio.

I’m pretty happy with that.
